Google will automatically block intrusive ads in the Chrome Browser beginning Thursday, February 15th, 2018.

This change impacts ads that do not meet Google's "Better Ads Standards" across all devices.

As we detailed several months ago, Google is taking action against ads it views as a poor user experience on Chrome.

Google is providing a 30-day grace period during which time webmasters may bring their sites in compliance with the new policy. You'll be able to identify the websites impacted in your Google Webmaster Tools account under "Experience Status".

Here you'll see one of three statuses:
  • Passing - Congrats! You're in compliance
  • Warning - A review of your site's advertising is needed
  • Failing - Definitely act fast!
You can request that Google review your site as many times as you want. After the third request, though, there is a 30-day delay.

Here's the complete list of ad types that you can expect to be blocked, according to the Coalition for Better Ads:

On Desktop
  • Large Sticky Ads
  • Auto-playing Video Ads with Sound
  • Pop-Up Ads
  • Prestitial Ads with Countdown
On Mobile
  • Large Sticky Ads
  • Auto-playing Video Ads with Sound
  • Pop-up Ads
  • Prestitial Ads
  • Ad Density greater than 30%
  • Full-Screen Scrollover Ads
  • Flashing Animated Ads
Here's a visual guide to the info above:

We want to ensure that users click on your marketing and join iFriends through your affiliate links. To do this, you'll want to provide the best user experience possible with your content and your ads.

Have you ever had a bad experience with annoying or intrusive ads that caused you to leave the site you were surfing? Chances are good that you have. A poor ad experience not only frustrates users but can hurt your website traffic.

Major advertisers and businesses involved in the Internet, including Facebook and Google, IAB and IAB Europe, have formed the Coalition for Better Ads to educate webmasters on the types of ads that provide the poorest user experience and should be avoided.

Here are some of the ad formats you should consider excluding from your website:

  • Pop-Up Ads
  • Flashing Animated Ads
  • Auto-playing Video Ads with Sound
  • Ads with density higher than 30% on mobile
  • Large sticky ads
We invite you to review your ClickCash marketing and the Ads Standards to ensure that your campaigns provide the best user experience, and help you convert surfers into happy customers.

How to tell if Google is sampling your analytics data

Many affiliates rely on Google Analytics as one method to determine how productive their traffic may be. That's why it's important to make sure Google is giving you a complete picture of your traffic, rather than providing a sampling of data.

Sampling uses a random subset of data to provide you reports and analysis. While there are times when sampled data is fine, it often will give you an incomplete view of the traffic you are generating and the quality of that traffic.

Our friends at MozBlog have provided easy ways of identifying if your Google reports are being sampled, and how to make Google provide you reporting that reviews 100% of your traffic.

As Google says, a great ad today may not always be a great ad tomorrow. You should continue to test your ads and optimize them for the best results. In this new video from Google, they discuss:

  • Prioritizing your creative optimization efforts
  • Setting up reasonable tests
  • Verifying that you're using the correct ad rotation setting
Whether you're an old pro at AdWords or just dipping your toes in the text ad waters, there's lots of good information in this short video.

Do you have any questions about any of the topics covered in this video? Ask in the comments!

Are users to your site finding what they're looking for? Or are your internal search results lacking?

Why can't I find the girls I want???

Using Google Site Search in combination with Google Analytics will show you what your users are searching for – and whether they are finding it or not. This will show you those areas of your site that need to be beefed up with more iFriends cam models that fit that niche.

When you combine that information with our Model Spotlight Content finder, you’ll quickly be able to add the content that will keep users on your site. More importantly, you’ll be able to connect them with models they’re looking for to convert them into paid ClickCash commissions!
